Matching Steel T-Post for 2-3 Mailboxes

$230.00

If you need to mount 2 or 3 Fort Knox mailboxes on one post, our T-Posts do that — no need to install individual posts or dig extra holes. Additionally, the mailboxes don’t have to be the same. However, if you move up to 4 or more mailboxes, then steel racks are required, meaning there would be two support posts instead of the one with the T-Post. All of our posts are made using the same material thickness and completely welded to support our heavy duty mailboxes.

Fort Knox Mailboxes can be mounted to almost any type of post that is made out of most structural materials. Our mailboxes come with four holes drilled in the bottom of the mailbox for easy mounting to multiple surfaces. We recommend that whatever you are mounting a Fort Knox Mailbox to, is substantial and can handle the weight of the mailbox. You also want it mounted in a way that keeps the mailbox from being stolen. If what you have is not going to support your new mailbox, then we have a matching 57″ long steel post for quick and easy installation. It installs like a fence post in the ground, and needs to be approximately 2 feet down in the ground and cemented in. We suggest one or two bags of cement. If you need a post to be surface mounted to a sidewalk or cement slab, we also have surface mount posts (Breakaway).

Description

STEEL POSTS WE USE TO SUPPORT OUR HEAVY MAILBOXES:

  • 5″ x 2.5″ x 57″ for the M1-LT Mailboxes
  • 4″ x 4″ x 57″ for the Small Standard Mailboxes
  • 5″ x 5″ x 57″ for the Large Standard, Fortress, Vacationer & Senator Mailboxes
  • If you have a preexisting post, make sure it can support our mailbox weight!

The post comes separate from the mailbox and is bolted from underneath with carriage bolts. This is ideal if you move and want to take the mailbox with you instead of pulling the steel post out of the concrete. Posts are made of 10 gauge square tubing (10 gauge = 1/8″). The posts are buried in approximately 2 feet of concrete.

Shipping Options

When Will Your Mailbox Ship?

Because of custom options, we don't keep a huge inventory of mailboxes. If your mailbox is in stock, it will ship within a few days. Otherwise, here are our average shipping times*:

  • Smaller Mailboxes (M1-LT, Small & Large): 1-2 weeks
  • Larger Mailboxes (Fortress, Vacationer, Senator & Package box): 2-3 weeks
  • The Vaults & CBUs: 4-6 weeks
  • Smaller accessories ship within 2-3 days
  • Custom Colors will add 1 week to the above time frames
  • Extra keys can take 7-10 days for delivery

*Larger quantities or custom orders will take longer.

Most Products Ship FedEx

Our mailboxes except for the Package Box & Vaults, and accessories ship FedEx.

If you order a quantity of 4 or more larger items (Mailboxes and Posts), your order will ship FedEx.

Shipping for FedEx can be calculated at checkout. If the total weight of your order is higher than what FedEx allows, the freight option will appear. If that happens, we will call and finalize the cost for freight shipping once your order has been placed.

Large Items & Larger Quantities Ship Freight

Our Package Box, All Vaults, and Racks must ship freight.

Order quantities of 4 or more mailboxes will ship freight. One exception is the M1-LT -- we've shipped 10 FedEx ground and it's cheaper than freight.

The T-Post for 3 generally ships freight. We can make the T-Post for 3 in two pieces (Not all welded together) and ship it FedEx ground if you want. We do this often, but it's after asking your opinion.

We will call and finalize the cost for freight shipping once your order has been placed.

Locks & Keys ship USPS

All locks and keys ship USPS when ordered separately from a mailbox.
