“A motorist, under the influenced, struck my Fort Knox at a speed of about 45-50 MPH. I anchored my mailbox with 500 lbs of concrete. The force was so great that it pulled the entire footing out of the ground. Mean while, the mailbox got stuck in the undercarriage of the vehicle and ended lifting the vehicle off the ground so The rear wheels had no traction. Prior to This collision, the driver struck 4 police vehicles during the pursuit. My Fort Knox mailbox prevented this vehicle from colliding with my school. The vehicle was totally stuck with the police arresting this drunk driver. This mailbox actually saved lives. Remarkably, the mailbox still functioned perfectly. The police were amazed and so was I.”
