C.B.U.s (Cluster Box Units)
Our CBUs (Cluster Box Units) are all custom and completely welded out of a 1/4″ steel frame with 3/16″ steel-reinforced doors. There are no rivets or spot welds, or parts that can be removed. The shell is over 3-4x thicker than the next heaviest duty CBU on the market! If you would like a quote, we need to know:
- Number of Total CBU Units needed (Complete CBU location)?
- One location or multiple locations available?
- Number of Total Tenants/homes needed (individual slots)?
- Need of Outgoing Mail?
- Do you need Larger Package Compartments?
- Do you need an in-Ground Post (Dirt area), OR a Surface Mount Post (An existing sidewalk)?
- Zip code for shipping?
- Is the delivery location a residence, OR is it a commercial address?
- Do you have access to a forklift or a loading dock?
CBUs are very heavy and the lightest CBU will be approximately 250 lbs., and then go up from there. They also require front and rear door access — one side for the mail carrier and another for the tenants. You will need USPS approval for this setup.

When Will Your Mailbox Ship?
We have a lot of different models and options, so our inventory is always fluctuating. We are currently very busy, and below are our average wait times. If your mailbox is in stock, it will ship the same or next business day. Otherwise, here are our average wait times if not in stock*:
- 10" Mailboxes (M1-LT & Small Standard): 1 week
- 12" Mailboxes (Large Standard and Fortress): 1-2 weeks
- 18" Mailboxes (Vacationer & Senator): 2-3 weeks
- The Package Box, Vaults & CBUs: 2-4 weeks
- Ballot Boxes: 4 weeks
- Smaller accessories if shipping separate will ship the same or next business day
- Custom work and custom Colors will add 1 week to the above time frames
- Extra keys can take 10-12 days for delivery
- FedEx Ground transportation: 1-5 Business Days
- Freight transportation: 1-9 Business Days
*Larger quantities or custom orders will take longer. Feel free to contact us with a more precise shipping date.
All Products Ship USPS, FedEx or by Freight.
Fort Knox Mailbox, LLC. will choose the shipping method in which all items are shipped. Specified shipping by the customer can add an additional shipping cost.
All keys will ship via USPS priority. Expedited shipping is an option for an additional fee.
Our single mailboxes, except for the Package Box, Vaults and our CBUs ship FedEx Ground.
If you order a quantity of 4 or more larger items (Mailboxes and Posts), your order will likely ship via Freight. If you would like a freight quote, please contact us HERE with all the following information:

- Do you have access to a forklift or a loading dock? (Not required, but reduces shipping rate):
For freight shipments, if shipping to a business and/or have access to a forklift or loading dock, you can select this option for a reduced amount on freight. If selected, and shipping is not to a business or you do not have a forklift or loading dock, then Fort Knox Mailbox, LLC. can charge for the misinformation after delivery. Please make sure that all delivery information is correct.
Large Items & Larger Quantities Ship Freight

Order quantities of 4 or more mailboxes can ship freight depending on location and accessorials needed.
The T-Post for 3 generally ships either FedEx Ground or Freight. We will make the T-Post for 3 in two pieces (Not all welded together) and ship it FedEx ground to be securely bolted together at installation.
Locks & Keys ship USPS
All locks and keys ship via USPS when ordered separately from a mailbox. Expedited shipping is available for an additional cost. Please Contact US for details and pricing.

Shipment made it here and everything looks great. Installed the frame yesterday and waiting for the cement to set properly before installing boxes. I do have all the addresses and will send you them so you can get them back to me for installing. Had quite a crew helping with the installation and everybody is really impressed with the quality of the materials and production of the mail system. Also received the separate envelope with the keys.

Thank You for the message, the refund and well wishes for our trip. Likewise on our part in having the opportunity to meet you. All the neighbors are very happy with their investment and especially like the forest green color. I handed-off the last key this AM and it was great to see that a package, which would have not fit in our last mailbox, was waiting for them. The slot size is really convenient! Wish you continued success and know that the latest “planting” will germinate more business for Fort Knox from our area.
